ALVARO LUQUE

Alvaro studied cinema in Argentina at Fundación Universidad del Cine (FUC). Back in Perú, he developed his advertisement career as a director and achieved a place as one of the most important filmmakers of his generation.

Trough his work, he searches for a sensitive and real point of view. In his eight years career, he has won several important international prices that includes Cannes Lions, The One Show, D&AD, Clio Awards, El Sol, FIAP, etc. He has also been awarded “Best Local Director” two times by El Ojo de Iberoamérica.

His first shortfilm, LUX, was official selection in many international film festivals and was awarded with the “Special Jury Price” in the Curtacinema of Rio de Janeiro. Recently was invited by the prestigious Argentinian director Daniel Burman to be part of his international Branded Content team. He is currently working on his first feature film “La Danza de Los Mirlos” that tells the story of the legendary psychedelic cumbia band “Los Mirlos”.
